Woodland Stay & Play for 0-7

Explore, create, & enjoy pure play in the fresh air

Something comes alive in children
when they spend time in nature…

It’s the look of wonder when they watch a bumblebee land on a bouncy stalk of lavender.

The simple spark of joy when they splash in a puddle or crunch autumn leaves underfoot.

The brave curiosity when they stumble upon a fallen log, just itching to see if they can balance across it.

At Birds Nest Forest Club, your child will explore,
create, and take risks surrounded by nature.

Welcome to Birds Nest Forest Club, the ultimate outdoor learning space for children aged 0-7.
We're a small rural spot located i
n Birdsedge, near Huddersfield.

Our stay and play sessions offer 2 hours where children can engage in activities such as tree swings, hammocks, mud kitchen, tree climbing, and sand play. We also offer the chance to toast marshmallows around the fire.

Our community is built to support outdoor play and to foster a love of nature in young children.

An adult is required to stay for the duration of each session.
All sessions must be pre-booked, book here.

Why visit Birds Nest Forest Club?

In today’s world, there are fewer and fewer opportunities for children to soak up nature.

According to the Child Mind Institute, the average child spends just 4-7 minutes outside per day…compared to 7 hours in front of screens. 😳

7 minutes in nature compared to 7 hours watching a screen.
Pretty shocking, right?

But here’s the good news:

As parents, we have the power to change this reality for our children. We can choose nourishing activities that help them grow and develop.

And nothing is more nourishing than spending time outdoors.
